Visiting Coaches Policy

All visiting coaches must check in at the skate counter and pay the $20 fee, prior to entering the ice. Visiting coaches may only come twice a week. Only coaches who have paid this fee will be allowed to enter the rink.

Coaches must present a copy of current Liability Insurance coverage to management.

All visiting coaches must sign a copy of Visiting Coach Responsibilities and Code of Conduct Agreement.

Visiting Coaches Responsibilities/ Code of Conduct

I, __________________________________, as a guest coach at Valley Ice Center, agree to the following:

Solicitation will not be tolerated at Valley Ice Center.

During freestyle sessions coaches are expected to be aware of other skaters/coaches on the ice. Standing in the middle of the ice for periods of time watching or conversing with your student creates an obstacle for other skaters on the session. Demonstrating to your student or choreographing is acceptable as long as you are in motion.

Coaches shall have priority playing music before skaters. Common courtesy should be used.

Visiting coaches will not be allowed to teach on public sessions without consent from management.

No guest coaching from the wall will be tolerated.

All guest coaches must sign in and pay before each session.

All guest coaches agree to act in a professional manner and to respect all patrons, coaches, and Valley Ice Center staff at all times.

Guest coaches will adhere to any policies, rules, and regulations adopted by Valley Ice Center management.  Any breech of management’s rules and regulations will constitute a breach of this agreement.

Advertising of another ice arena within Valley Ice Center will not be tolerated. An example would be, wearing jackets with another facilities logo or name or having a parent of your student speak to another parent about you teaching them.

Guest coaching is on a trial basis and the privilege may be revoked at any time.
